Persian Verses from Sadi

I annex an English versification of the most probable meaning contained in the couplets entitled “Vive l’Amour!” but they appear to be a direct plagiarism from an ancient fragment left by the poetical Mahometan Ben Sadi of which the following is an authentic specimen and may, perhaps, obtain the honour of a more exact translation.
