Among Men; — it seems very absurd,
That one Lady alone out of all the fair Sex,

That your eloquent Sex may at last become mute
When not one tender subject is left for Dispute,

Then forbid it Kind Venus — the Graces forbid,
And Cupid that’s wing’d like a Bird
That the Sex’s sweet sound, which all the Spheres,
Should cease for one moment to ravish our ears

And think what will become of the boast of your Sex,
Your talent for Constancy slurr’d;
A Virtue so join’d with the whole of the Host
That indeed it were better to give up the Ghost
Than renounce your just right — The Last Word.
